The Housing Office offers students, both US and international, housing options through our Homestay and Residence Hall programs.

Currently, we house students in both our Somerset Village apartments and Sophie Court apartments. Our students are benefitted with free utilities, wireless internet, TV and movies, billiards table, ping pong and fuseball and program events. All these amenities are to help sustain and enhance the on-campus lifestyle of our Residence Hall students in a safe, fun, learning environment.

In Fall 2009, we will open a new Residence Hall facility on campus named Rainier Place. Included in the new Residence Hall will be free wi-fi acces, free basic cable TV, large community room with billards table, computer bar, TV lounge, mail center, community laundry facility, nine Residence Assistants and key card access for improved safety. Edmonds Community College is working closely with Lorig Associates, who will manage the building with EdCC, to bring a state of the art facility for our students.

The Homestay Program places mostly international students with a local host family within the Lynnwood area and surrounding neighborhoods. We place over 300 students with families of various backgrounds and experiences that help to give our students a broader and educated prospective on the US lifestyle while at Edmonds Community College.

Feel free to contact us at anytime with questions or comments on our Residence Hall and Homestay programs.

Hi Eric! I understand your frustration towards the parking issues around campus, as there is lots of construction projects and remodeling going around to improve the campus environment. The student housing project has been in the works for the past 10 years, where we included input from many students, staff and the community. The new student housing will actually replace any parking lots that were lost due to construction as well as provide a central point for all students to relax and learn more about residential life. It is however, unfortunate that there are many projects still in the works which does add up to temporary loss parking. We are excited however, to be opening Rainier Place in September with all parking affected by the project back to normal.

the resident halls make me very angry. more people go to the school every quarter and more parking space disappear every quarter.
