What do you like and/or dislike about the LEAF class?

I love how this class pushed me out of my typical norm. I had my first kayak, camping and hiking experience at this summer LEAF class. It was also the first time for me to adjust without running water. Besides all the physical discomforts, I am so glad to have met and be come close with my classmates and community partners.

Well, at threat of duress (I wont name names, but you know who you are bully), here goes:

What I loved about LEAF:

- It got me to try new things. Lots of new things. Turned out I liked most of the new things, though I am still not kosher with spiders.
-The people! I truly enjoyed my classmates and community partners.
-The introduction to a better lifestyle. I've joined a CSA and I give Starbucks hell when they are my only caffeine option as a result, and have my local haunts trained not to give me a paperbag when shopping.
-I loved actively doing good for the world, oppose to creatively avoiding bad.
-Salsa will forever make me giggle.
-Long heart to hearts in the middle of the night on long trips.
-People who skip through the forest.

What I disliked
-Well, spiders obviously.
-Outhouses.
-Half empty rotting beer bottles that have been roasting in the sun for god knows how long. The smell still haunts me.
