Veterans Day speaker Becky Halstead, "The First Person You Must Lead is You!" 12:30 p.m., Tues., Nov. 13, Black Box Theatre. Halstead is a retired Brigadier General, who served 27 years in the U.S. Army. She entered West Point with the second class of
women in 1977 and was the first female graduate to be promoted to General Officer in 2004. She served and commanded in combat as the first female Commanding General at the strategic level of leadership in Iraq-leading 20,000 Soldiers and 5,000 civilians from 2005 to 2006 — a first for the U.S. Army.
